As many of you might know the mechwar3 community over at : http://www.mechwarrior3.org/wforum/viewforum.php?f=38 have being doing great work creating paper models from MW3/MW4/MC2 and some other CBT mechs.

I recently extracting the HD textures from the HD patch for mercs to offer some more variation for the models since they look great. I only now realized that I never asked permission from the artists who created them if it is ok to use them. Also I would like to take the opportunity and say thank you for creating these textures and I hope that with the release of the HD2.0 patch we can use the new textures as well.

Here is a look at some of the models created for those who don't know what we are doing or don't know what the paper models look like.

Masakari built by Daikhovalin
Uziel built by BLaaR
Timber Wolf build by RMDC

These are just examples of models cleaned and unfolded by shiftdel , cantaris from MW4. There are also other great 3D designers like Monkey Rum and YogiSolthan who is creating stunning models.

The models are all available for download.

I hope the use of your textures carries your approval.

Thanks

BLaaR

I don't see a problem as long as those paper models are not charging for the texture work.
Looks great.
Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you Mack.

No, all the models are totally free and we will never charge for any of the models.

May I ask that once the HDP 2.0 patch is released , would it be possible to send / share the new textures for the mechs privately for our community to use ?

It would make it easier than having to download the HDP patch and apply it to Mercs and then extract it again.

Thank you if you can help.
