This is a screenshot of a Mechwarrior Map (custom) that was created by a Mechstorm team member... who was able to use MS compost textures to make this great looking terrain.
It will now be possible to custom create maps with improved terrain appearance (as opposed to the smoother appearance of maps that don't have the compost textures in them.
Scouring the available maps, we find that Arena Egypt (Tronix) is one of the few maps that enabled these.
We are currently developing a toolkit to enable map makers to do this on their own.
At present, if you are interesting in helping to develop these tools with us, please join the forum, and post:
Special thanks to Tronix for enabling this great new addition!

As everyone knows, Things have really gone bad for the Simpsons. Marge is trying to force Homer on a diet.
And of course, Bart hid all of the donuts at the local military compound!
You can see what happens when Homer declares an all out war on his hunt for DONUTS!!!
As you can see, Homer got some REALLY BAD INTEL, 'cause it turns out that the giant donut was actually a Com Array!
Special Thanks to NetRaider, for risking his life to obtain this footage!

I visit the Crysis Living Legends site pretty regularly, and really like this particular scene. It reminds me of a map Avenger made for NetMech IV that had asteroids in the sky floating all around. It really made the map look great. The Crysis engine shows off some incredible visuals. The 3D appearance to the ground is awesome. Another thing that I realized is that the Novacat in this picture is remarkably assymetrical. The right leg is very different from the left leg in many ways, including how the joints look. It makes the whole mech just menacing in appearance! I know everyone is waiting to pilot one of these. Head over to WWW.MechLivingLegends.Com and show them your support!
